After the success of the last camp we have put together another one to satisfy your needs, this will be a SKILLS CAMP with 1-2-1 COACHING available depending on numbers but also an FSU Boogie for any and all jumpers regardless of discipline to come and have some fun in the sun The last camp was awesome with loads of jumps, progression and fun. It was a fantastic family affair with loads of old and new faces.
So, if you want an awesomely average time on a skills progression camp in groups of similar ability working towards similar goals then this is the camp for you!

Well why not come and join the club, FSU are now able to offer AFF courses in collaboration with the one and only Euphoria’s Paul Capsey You can learn to skydive in as little as 3 days and progress to get you’re A-Licence and maybe even your B-Licence if you stay for a little while longer, see enquiry forms below!

• NON-SKYDIVER ALERT! The Algarve is a fantastic place whether you are a Skydiver or not, so come along and bring your partners even if they are not a Skydiver, there are fantastic beach’s, bars, restaurants for you to enjoy a fun filled holiday.

So, whether you have just graduated as a paratrooper, you already have many jumps, if you are a tunnel flyer with many hours or you just started, we invite you to participate in the #SafeX.

In addition, it is a good opportunity to meet more flyers with whom you can learn, share and plan new flights in the sky or in the tunnel!

If you have a USPA license remember that it is mandatory to attend a security chat to renew your licenses.

Rookie Round Up 16-17 March 2019

The Rookie Round Up is for licensed skydivers who are new(ish) to the sport. You must have 200 jumps or less to participate. There will be a number of World Class organizers available for free coaching in all disciplines over two days of jumping.

Rookies will be paired with organizers and other rookies depending on interest and experience. Safety is our main concern.

There will be a $50 NON-REFUNDABLE fee to confirm your spot. When you check in for the event, you will receive an event schedule and a goodie bag including 2 LIFT TICKETS. Slots are limited.

THIS EVENT IS NOT MEANT FOR SPECTATORS. FOR LICENSED SKYDIVERS ONLY.

To fulfill one of the USPA D-License requirements.
Participants must be current on their canopy, have a minimum of 50 jumps, have made a jump earlier in the day and attend the mandatory briefing 30 minutes prior to sunset.

Price & package

The price is divided in two payments and two currencies:
$USD and SEK (Swedish Kronor)

The price for the two week package is set to; $2390.- AND 6959.-SEK (approximately a total of $3000.- usd).

(We have a one week option priced at ($1295.- and 3479.-SEK), but strongly advise you to join us for the full camp if you can)

The SEK fee has to be paid soon after registering and the USD fee within 15th Feb. Please note that the sek part of the fee is NON REFUNDABLE. You may transfer your slot to another person, but your money will be spent on our coaches flights and there will be no room for a refund.

USPA Safety Day 2019 9 March
Safety Day is already upon us and we’ll be participating as a dropzone on the morning of Saturday, March 9!

We will do breakfast and coffee from 8:30-9:30am. Please bring something to share.

Afterwards, we’ll have a round robin of safety seminars on a variety of topics as we’ve done in years past.

We will be making important changes to the landing patterns and canopy traffic areas, so please attend. Keep an eye out for future emails and posts with this information as well.

We will have some safety days shirts available, first come first serve.

Plug & Play brings a different concept and focus in comparison to our other camps, the idea is to mix different elements together in the same airspace: Static, movement, dynamic, pylons and streamers. sounds sick right? Starting with each group flying on its own to later on combine all the elements together.

We will play with some ideas that has been tested already and come up with new stuff and different ways on how we can shoot it, pretty much building a storyline for each jump and show it in a cool way.

Fly4Life Flight Camp 2-6 April 2019
Yes, we moved the camp back a few weeks into April. We noticed that airfare and local hotels tend to be full or very expensive in the area due to Spring Break and Daytona Bike Week.

After an analysis of our last several camps and many of the events we traveled to during 2016 and 2017, we’ve concluded that we need smaller groups. When these camps began, groups of 8 were chosen because we weren’t doing much more than tracking and pretty much all head first.

Even though we feel that our camps are still mainly based on angles, the natural progression of this type of flying has taken us to mix it up with head up, static vertical/flat formations, etc. Even just flying angles, we have realized that taking out 2 people out of a group of 8 already allows coaches to push participants closer to their limits, providing a more progressive, and safer learning environment.

Camp Format:
– 5 day camp, Tuesday thru Saturday
– Participants will be organized by skill level in groups of 6.
– Groups will stay the same throughout.
– Coaches will rotate every day. Bringing in different flying styles, and ways to explain the techniques in practice.
– 6 jumps per day (more if there is still light). About 40 min between jumps. Plan the flight, Go fly, Pack (use a packer), Video debrief, Repeat.
– Participants should arrive before sunset on the 1st in order to fill up waivers, get your rigs checked with the DZ and put money on your account for the 30 jumps we hope to make. (Don’t worry the dz will refund any money not used during the camp)
– Mandatory event briefing Tuesday, April 2nd at 8:30am. Participants MUST be ready to fly by the beginning of this meeting.
– Registration US$400
– Cancellations/refunds will be charged $100 administrative fee
– Within 30 days from the event no refunds will be processed unless a replacement for your slot is found.
– ***NEW***: We’ll be jumping from 15K from Tuesday the 2nd to Friday the 5th. And from 18K with O2 on Saturday the 6th. There will be an O2 briefing for everyone, and particularly for those not familiar with it on Saturday morning.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Angle flying- (Minimum) Able to fly your slot (meaning in place and within docking distance) on your strong side, and fly at least in quadrant on your weak side.
-500 jumps minimum or have a recommendation from an angle coach.
-Must have done a camp with one of the camp coaches (not one random jump, a whole camp). Or, have a recommendation from a known flyer or coach.
-AADs are Mandatory

Registering for the camp while failing to meet minimum requirements, and/or overestimating your skills in the questionnaire may cause you to be removed (red card) from the camp without right of refund.

Operation Sandsnake III 18-24 March 2019
Join RCPT (Round Canopy Parachute Team) and AAG (American Airborne Group) for a fun filled week of freefall and round canopy jumps.

The C47 “Tico Belle” will be returning to Skydive Palatka on Saturday (March 23rd) for any jumper that wants to have the experience of jumping from an authentic WWII aircraft.

For those that are interested in travelling to Normandy for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, this event provides the necessary instruction and refresher training that is needed to make the re-enactment jumps in France.

21 Annual Falling Gators Event: Fundraising Weekend! 22-24 March 2019
Hey everyone, its that time of the year! The Falling Gators will be hosting our annual event, except this year, the focus will be on fundraising rather than a full-on boogie. We will be combining with Skydive Palatka’s Operation Sandsnake III on the weekend of March 22-24, so there will be NO UF boogie fee!

As a collegiate skydiving club, we are funded partially by the University of Florida, and also through the generosity of the skydiving community. These funds are necessary to maintain our club’s gear, and put on events such as the Collegiate Boogie.

Our goal for this year is to raise $2000 in order to purchase a new main canopy, and other minor gear updates. We decided that instead of hosting a full-on (and expensive) boogie, we would combine with Skydive Palatka and the Round Canopy Parachuting Team for a fun weekend on March 22-24.

More information can be found on the Operation Sandsnake III event page, but there will be lots of fun to be had! The C47 “Tico Belle” will be returning to Skydive Palatka. Also, HALO jumps are planned for the morning of Saturday, March 23. Other organized fun jumps and competitions will be happening throughout the weekend as well 🙂 We look forward to seeing you there!

Balloon Jumps 2 March 2019

Get Loft Balloons @flyhotair will be here March 2 and 3! Go on over and give them a like. You must meet all B-license requirements to jump and all jumpers must assist in ground crew. There will be three loads of four available sunrise and 3 loads of four sunset as the winds mid day normally pick up. No base gear unless you have a TSO harness and reserve system. Base-R or mil surp harness with chest mount in addition to your base gear.

Riding (not jumping) passengers are welcome too.

Jump tickets and observation rides are $150.00. You can book your slots here by clicking the link below, or by using the book online link on our webpage jumpslw.com. If you haven’t jumped a balloon yet, this experience is one for the books!

Depending on how slots fill your time is subject to change, we will keep you up to date. We just need to eliminate any gaps in the scheduling. Saturday the 3rd is jump day and Sunday the 4th is our rain date or of course you can be refunded.

We will have the hanger available to crash the night before so you don’t have to bother with a room. Hotels are just minuets away if you would rather a room. Looking forward to a good time come out and see us!
