The skydiving facility is conveniently located on Long Island only 50 miles east of New York City, at the Brookhaven-Calabro Airport in Shirley, NY. The airport is 800 acres with multiple runways for the airplanes and manicured grass for the parachutes. Skydive Long Island has modern offices in the main terminal building and a 3000 square foot hangar.

Skydive Long Island is the closest tandem skydiving center to NYC. If you live in the City and are thinking that skydiving in New Jersey would be easier, it definitely isn’t. There is a closer, more convenient option right next door. Bypass the NJ traffic and tolls, and treat yourself to a weekend at the beach! Once you’re out here, you won’t want to leave – there are hundreds of options for entertainment, food, and overnight stays.

Skydive Long Island is a group member in good standing with the United States Parachute Association.

The fleet of airplanes and skydiving equipment is maintained to guidelines and rules set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tandem jump Long Island

Skydive Long Island specializes in tandem skydiving for first time skydivers!

When you tandem skydive at Skydive Long Island, you’ll be teamed up with one of our professional instructors who will accompany you every step of the way.

Before the airplane door opens, you will be securely attached to your instructor and remain attached for the remainder of the tandem skydive, parachute flight, and landing.

Once the parachute is open, you can fly it along with your instructor.

Our breathtaking aerial views over Long Island are second to none.

From the airplane’s take off to the parachute flight, you will enjoy seeing Long Island Sound, the twin forks, Westhampton Beach, the Atlantic Ocean, Smith Point County Park, and the Fire Island National Seashore.

On clear days, you can even see all the way to Montauk and New York City! Long Island Skydiving doesn’t get any better than this!

Once you’re out here, the area is rich with summer activities to enhance the excitement of your visit.
