We are located at Hella, a small, beautiful town on the south coast of Iceland. It’s only about 95 km from down town Reykjavík. It’s definitely one of the best drop zones in the world surrounded with a fantastic view of glaciers, volcanoes and Icelandic nature at it’s best.
Our plane is a Cessna 206 that takes you up to 10.000 feet in about 25 minutes. On special occasions we jump from helicopters, AS350 Ecureuil or Super Puma, and sometimes we also jump from a DC-3.
At Hella we have the possibility to camp (free of charge) and have fun jumping from early morning until late in the night. Midnight jumps from mid June to mid July are surprisingly fun to do, since there is still a bright day at midnight here in Iceland during that time of the year.
Since the weather isn’t very pleasurable over the winter months (and we have lost our tough Viking attitude) we usually start our skydive season in mid April and finish at the end of September.
